3/8" minus is excellent for:

  • Base material since the lime with the gravel firmly compacts creating a base for under pavers, block, decorative rock, or stone for Walls
  • Driveways
  • Pathways
  • Pipe drainage

3/8" and 1" clean/washed is good to use for:

  • Durable pathways, terraces and driveways
  • Drainage
  • Landscaping
  • Erosion Control

Sand

  • Base material for patios
  • Sandboxes
  • Leveling agent
  • Water Features/Ponds

Calculating Yardage

Take the length (feet) x width (feet) x depth (feet) divide by 27 = the cubic yards needed.
[For example, you have an area 6′ x 10′ x 0.25"(or 3") = 15 cubic ft divided by 27 = 0.55 cubic yards or 1 skid loader scoop.

1.5 yards (3 scoops) = 4,050 lb (2.02 tons)

2.5 yards (5 scoops) = 6,750 lb (3.37 tons)

3.5 yards (7 scoops) = 9,450 lb (4.72 tons)
